"Petit déjeuner de qualité..."

Rate:  5 Stars

"Gorgeous views"

Rate:  5 Stars

We stayed here after hopping off a cruise for one night. We booked the hotel at the Athenia port. We paid 150 euros for a suite not including breakfast. The villas are very traditional and charming. Our suite was just lovely with a separate roomy master bedroom, the sitting/dining area was quite nice and a private balcony overlooking the entire caldera (cliff side). The views were breathtaking. No intrusions, just postcard perfect views from our private balcony. We also had a loft style second bedroom which we did not use. The villas are down a number of steps, so you will have to carry your luggage. Restaurants and cafes etc are located within easy walking distance. The guy at reception was so friendly and informative. We followed both his recommendations for dinner (Blue Sky) and breakfast (Flora) and those places were amazing with great food. He was also willing to organize other little excursions for us but we didn`t have another night to spend in Santorini. Villa was clean, 2 things that you should note. Firstly there was just a hand held shower, not fixed on the wall. Second the bed is on a concrete base so is quite hard. We thought it was very good value and we traveled at low season. Highlight of our trip.

"Fantastic service!"

Rate:  5 Stars

My boyfriend and I went to Kyma Village in July 2012, and had a fantastic stay. We hadn`t booked in advance as a friend had told us you got the best rates by just showing up. Arriving late July there were two studios available (EUR 150 per night). The service is excellent. The Hotel Manager Thasos is extremely service minded and positive, and gave us good advice for restaurants, boat trip and beaches. The hotel is quite small and the rooms are simple, but nice. The view is magnificient. There is a fridge in all the rooms, and you may even cook food yourselves. The area around the swimming pool is very nice and picturesque. The rooms are well taken care of and very clean. We will strongly recommend this hotel - only drawback is that Oia (Ia) is not by the beach. All in all a very nice stay, and the hotel is extremely good value quality price.

"This place MADE my stay on Santorini!! AWESOME!"

Rate:  5 Stars

When we arrived at the airport in Santorini, there was a taxi waiting for us as I arranged with Tassos, the manager. He whisked us to Kyma Villas and Tassos was waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome! He lugged 2 of our suitcases down the 70 steps to the apartment for us, so I was just left with one. It is a bit of a climb down and up, but it is so worth it for the scenery and the place itself! Once we were in our room, it was hard to stop staring out the front door at the view of the caldera and the big beautiful blue ocean, dotted with ships and sailboats. It`s the most peaceful and awesome view! We walked out our front door to the pristine, refreshing swimming pool and enjoyed relaxing, jumping in to cool off and hanging on the edge of the pool, looking down at the water and at the other white hotels/apartments/houses tumbling down the side of the caldera. We had apartment #1 with 2 sleeping areas, as I was traveling with my 2 teenage daughters...there was plenty of space - the air conditioner worked great, the kitchen area was sufficient for us, as we were served breakfast every morning on our patio and we were usually out during the day and I didn`t feel like cooking in the evening...I was on vacation! But, if you do want to cook, there are pots, pans, dishes...everything you need! And a little fridge. There is a television and a little dining area. Tasso took car of getting me my return ferry tickets, my rental car and tickets for a catamaran sailing excursion...his service was such a help and he seemed to take pleasure in assisting us and recommending places to eat for us! I can`t say enough about this place....I don`t know if I would have enjoyed my stay on the island as thouroughly as I did if I hadn`t stayed at Kyma Villas...between the knock-out views and the service, and the accomodations, I don`t know how you could beat it! It is the typical, Cycladic architecture and furnishings, so while it`s authentic and charming, it`s not plush or the Ritz...and that is OK with me! It was a pleasure to come home to Kyma Villas at night and find candles in lanterns around the pool - so beautful, romantic and cozy! We stayed 4 nights in July 2010.

"Room with a view!"

Rate:  5 Stars

The most memorable experience of Greece was enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace outside of our suite overlooking the caldera. The actual suite was very comfortable and clean, though a little warm at night as there are no windows (its a cave!) but the owner can provide a fan. The room we occupied was quite large, with a separate kitchen and living area. There is also a swimming pool to cool off after a heated day of sightseeing.

"Great place to stay"

We were welcomed by Tassos who helped us down the stairs with our luggage. The view is magnificent.
Samba, the cleaning lady, keeps everything in shipshape. It is a great place to stay at.

"Nice, but not worth the money"

Rate:  4 Stars

We has planned to spend our three nights in Oia at Nostos apartments, but as they were only available for two, Andreas at Nostos suggested we stay at Kyma - literally next door.

I wondered why there had been so little written about this place on TA. I wonder now whether the price puts people off - it cost us 250 Euros, which was quite expensive for what you get: a location that`s wonderful, but no better than Nostos; rooms which are nice, but not as interesting at Nostos. And Nostos was 70 Euros a night cheaper.

Positives are that the room we had, a suite, was quaint, old-fashioned and clean, and the balcony was roomy and made you feel as though you were right out over the sea. A simple breakfast was served on the balcony and the pool was clean, with a comfortable enough seating area - better than Nostos, in fact.

Finally, the staff were indeed very friendly and helpful. I wouldn`t not recommend Kyma, but I think there is better accommodation available for the price.

"Einzigartige Sicht und netter Service"

Rate:  5 Stars

"Perfection! Almost don`t want to tell people about it..."

Rate:  5 Stars

My friends and I stayed at Kyma Villas (aka Kima Villas) for four nights and didn`t want to ever leave. It`s a beautiful place. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They brought us breakfast every morning on the patio and booked tours for us. The hotel has a little pool overlooking the Caldera. Make sure you pack light though...there are a few flights of stairs down to the hotel, but that`s the case almost everywhere in Ia/Oia. The rest of the guests were European or American couples. The room had a small fridge, coffee maker, microwave, plates, glasses and silverware.
