"THANK YOU! YOU ARE THE BEST!"Rate:  5 Stars
We stayed at Eleana`s apartments at the begining of August, for 6 nights. We have had great time thanks to lovely Eleana and her family.
From the first time you feel like you are at your home. Eleana and her family are one of the best hosts we have met.
the apartment is big (family of 3) very clean ,very comfortable, it has everything you need!
When we arrived the fridge was full of fruits, vegetables ,cheese, milk, eggs, marmelade etc,all from their garden and the cheese and marmelade hand made,we can`t forget their taste!!!!
One night she and her mother cooked for all the visitors who stayed at the apartments- what can we say- just excellent, delicious,gorgeous...........!!!Her husband Jannis is also a great person and his handmade wine is also excellent -what a night-!
i don`t know if we will be able to visit Ireon again - even if we will be able to have vacations again-as things in Greece are horrible and our salary is more and more less from a month to month , but we will never forget the days that we have spent with this lovely family! with all my heart hope to see you soon!!!

"Can`t wait to go back!"Rate:  5 Stars
We’ve just booked to go back to Eleana’s this year and I realise that I haven’t written up a review of our stay last year.
Just to give you some background information, Samos is one of the larger Greek islands so there is a lot to see and to do. There are many historical sights, as well as a large unspoilt coastline and some beautiful walks and boat trips.
Samos is famous for the wine that it produces and, because the soil is very fertile, they also produce much of their own food. This means that, not only will you always eat extremely well in Samos with incredibly fresh ingredients, it is cheaper to eat out than many other of the smaller islands, which have to ship in supplies from other parts of Greece.
Ireon, where Eleana’s apartments is located, is a quiet village with a couple of lovely stretches of beach. Both beaches have excellent cafes where you can get lunch – freshly caught fish, Greek salad and a cold beer being my preferred option – and hire sunbeds and umberellas. The beaches are not crowded and there is always plenty of room, even in the height of summer.
Ireon itself has a central square with an excellent traditional Greek Kafenion where you can sit with an ices coffee (or something stronger) and people watch. There are also some really excellent bars and restaurants, as well as a supermarket and two or three general stores for stocking up with food and holiday essentials.
There is a cash machine in the central square, along with a taxi rank. Buses also leave regularly from here to go to various locations around the island. Buses are cheap and (usually) air-conditioned.
Nearby Pythgroria is a lovely town with a stunning harbour full of beautiful yachts and some excellent bars and restaurants. It has some interesting historical sights including the Castle of Likourgos, an important defensive structure in protecting Samos against Turkish invasion. Pythagoria is just 20 minutes away from Ireon by bus, or 10 minutes in a taxi (approx 6 euros).
Eleana’s is made up of 4 apartments and two studios. All of them are spotlessly clean and bright, with simple cooking facilities, and outside space – either a balcony or a terrace.
Ileana, who runs the place with her mum, and who lives upstairs with her family, is an absolutely fantastic hostess. Without imposing on your privacy she makes you feel incredibly welcome, and there are often presents of home-made cake, or fruit from her family’s own vines waiting for you when you come in from the beach. Staying here is like coming home, that’s how easy, warm and stress-free it all is.
I just can’t recommend the place enough, and hope that you find this information useful.

""Superb Holiday""Rate:  5 Stars
Having decided on a last minute holiday we booked direct flights to Samos & booked 2 weeks at the Eleana Apts in Ireon. We could not have hoped for a more wonderful holiday.
It started with Eleana picking us up from the airport and taking us to our one bedroom apt which was large & spacious with a balcony which had views down to the sea & to the hills. We also met her Mother, Father & son –Maria, Spiros & Costas and her brother Vangelis who also looked after us so well. Eleana even had us over for breakfast one day as she loves people to sample local food which she makes herself. The whole family wants to ensure you have a great holiday and everything you need & we kept finding things in our apt, homemade cheese pies, dolmades, fruit, we were really spoilt. Thank you so much Eleana & family. Ireon is a lovely village with very friendly people & just enough tavernas & bars. Samos is a beautiful Island & we hired a car (recommended by Eleana) from Friendly Car Hire in the village & the name says it all, Costas & his family are really friendly. We toured Samos which is a beautiful Island with lots of resorts but it was always lovely to return to Eleana Apts & Ireon.
If we had to sum up this 2 week holiday:-
Eleana Apts/Studios 10/10
Friendly Car Hire 10/10
Ireon Village 10/10
Samos Island & People 10/10
The whole off our holiday 10/10
So if you are looking for a wonderful holiday in Samos contact Eleana & go to Ireon. Thank you Eleana & family for making our holiday so wonderful and yes we do definitely want to return. All the best for the future Best Wishes Jean & Paul xx

"WE`LL BE BACK!"Rate:  5 Stars
We stayed at Eleana`s apartments earlier this year. Very clean and well furnished. Two balconies and less than two minutes walk to the sea! Bedding and towels were changed very regularly. Eleana herself is a lovely person as you will see for yourself when you stay! We would not hesitate to recommend these apartments to you, and we will be returning too. Ireon itself is a lovely working village, unspoilt and unpretentious with a friendly taxi service and frequent buses so it is an ideal base from which to explore the island! Don`t forget to go up to Manolates for spectacular views! Thank you Eleana for a perfect stay.

We have just returned from our first holiday in Samos. We stayed with our friends at Eleana`s Apartments in Ireon. They have been many times before and had told us how wonderful Ireon was. They also booked our accomodation which was just perfect, clean and comfortable - and what a host Eleana is!! One evening she and her family even invited us and the other guests to a family meal!! It was amazing to try lots of different Greek foods.
We loved Samos and Ireon but especially the hospitality we recieved from Eleana and her family, and would love to return in the future !!

"What a Find!!"Rate:  5 Stars
We recently had the good fortune to enjoy nine great nights with Iliana and her wonderful family at Eleana Apartments in Ireon on the island of Samos. Our decision was made based on all the positive reviews we had read on Trip Advisor, so thank you because we arrived with expections and left with them well exceeded!!! For a start we really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and friendliness of the local people in Ireon. We also loved the fact that Eleana Apartments were so close to restaurants, supermarket, buses, taxis and hire cars and nice walks. We enjoyed a spacious apartment upstairs which was kept absolutely spotless by Iliana and her mum. Best of all we were so impressed with Iliana and her family who made us feel so welcome and determined to make sure we really enjoyed our stay and would be able to leave with wonderful memories. Iliana dropped in lovely goodies produced by her family`s kitchen and gardens, and even organised, with her Mother, a fantastic traditional Greek buffet which we shared with their extended family, our new `Aussie` friends, and a lovely couple from the UK. We would love to come back to Samos one day and we are not surprised to learn that most of the forward bookings for Eleana Apartments are from past guests!!! Thank you Iliana for an awesome holiday!!!
Room tip: Didn`t look at apartments downstairs but upstairs excellent and have views down to village and w...

"A Magical Experience"Rate:  5 Stars
Our experience with Eleana and her family at Eleana`s Apartments rates as one of our finest after almost fifty years of travel around the world. We were celebrating my husband`s 70th birthday and Kiwi friends we met on our travels told us about Eleana`s apartments and the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, We decided to join them and travel to Ireon. We certainly were not disappointed. Eleana is a charming and wonderful host. The apartments are beautifully kept, spacious and well located. We felt so welcome and Eleana also respected our space. Little personal touched continued to surprise and delight us. It was a memorable and magical time for us. Our thanks to the gorgeous, Eleana, her wonderful Mum and Dad, Maria and Spyros who also looked after us, her husband Yannis and her dear son Costa who entertained us with his tremendous dancing.

We have just returned from another stay withEleana. We have had a great time .
The taxi drivers being on strike didn`t pose a problem as Eleana was at the airport waiting to meet us from the Manchester flight and our friend off the Gatwick flight.
We caught up with her family and reaqainted ourselves with the people at the local tavernas where we were greeted like old friends.
Fortunately Samos prices remain similar to last year .
We are already looking forward to next year. Thank you Eleana,Jannis,Constantinos and mum and Dad.
