"Loved the location & hospitality"Rate:  4 Stars
We stayed in 6 different hotels during our visit to the Peloponnese and all things considered, this hotel was the best. We had originally booked for Christmas day 2008 but misjudged driving times in the Peloponnese and couldn`t make it to the hotel. When I called up the hotel, they gladly moved our booking to the next day without any charges.
This hotel is set along a pebbled beach (not the kind with endless sands) and separated by a narrow road. We couldn`t find a place to park in front of the hotel but when we told the receptionist/ owner (Christos) he right away came out with me and moved his car from his spot and freed a parking for me. Since the winds were quite strong, the water was reaching the road and hence there were only around 8 to 10 parking spots where you could avoid the water. He was also very helpful in finding rooms for us in Athens. Sorry I took your time Christos.
The rooms were quite old but it was very well concealed. It had a very rustic look and certainly not luxurious. We didn`t miss it one bit as we had a balcony and in spite of the cold and the wind, I enjoyed listening to the sound of the waves. The room was quite crammed too but good enough for two people. It had a wardrobe and an a/c as well.
I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone more for location and the hospitality of the hosts (oh yes, and the food too).

"Mitico Hotel Kanelli!"Rate:  4 Stars
Vivamente consigliato!!

"Average - ok for passing through"Rate:  2 Stars
There is nothing spectacular about this hotel apart maybe from the view - we got a balcony which looked out onto the sea and town. The room had barely enough walking space. The shower had a grotty curtain. Decent wardrobe space with built in fridge. Restaurant only had half of the items on the menu. Beds were adequate. Breakfast was not great, nasty orange juice, typical continental cornflakes and margarine.

"Loved the Kanelli!"Rate:  4 Stars
We stayed here in August 2007, Pina had stayed here earlier in July this same year. We wanted a place "a little of the beaten path" near the Aigio/Patras area. The location of this hotel, in Selianitaka, was perfect for us. about 6 klm west of Aigio, and 35 klms or so east of Patras.
The hotel consists of the main structure, with pool/lounge area adjacent, and a resteraunt just across the road directly on the beach. The area itself is very nice and typical of small, greek beach villages/communities...not overbuilt, but with enough around to offer everything you could want. The whole operation is family run and owned, with Father and sons doing the bulk of the hosting. We partyed with Yanni and Vassilli, two of the three sons, and felt very well taken care of. The scenery and area itself is simply breathtaking (as is most of the costal region of Greece in this area) and the "feel" of this small villiage was welcoming and relaxing. The main Plaka is just a minute walk down the road, with tons of waterfront resteraunts to choose from. Don`t forget to sample the hotels waterfront food as well, especially their Greek salad, stuffed beeftecky and especially the pumpkin pastry pie (trust me on this last one...not a dessert , more like a side dish,...very yummy!) Also, make sure to see Petro at the pool bar any time after 12Pm until late at night...lots of fun, and he makes a Worl"ss" Black Russian
