"Luxury in Fabulous Small town Stemnitsa"

Rate:  4 Stars

We stayed at Country-Club Hotel Trikolonion for one night in September while exploring the Peloponnese. It is a luxury hotel in an adorable small town. We were there on a weekday so it was very inexpensive. The room was very nice, the service was great and the breakfast was very filling.

The biggest attraction is the location. Stemnitsa is a wonderful town with very friendly people. The power went out when we were there and the entire town had no power, except Hotel Trikolonion because of a generator. In some ways we kind of wanted there to be no power and to use candles and feel more part of the town... but in other ways (because it was quite cold at night) nice to have electricity. If you visit Stemnitsa you have to go to the Prodromou Monastery (set in the cliffs on the footpath by the Lousios river. Its best if you have a car to get around in this area.

"Excellent hotel"

Rate:  5 Stars

Really excellent and real 5* hotel.

Everything was perfect.

Just that Spa was not working at this time...

But rooms, breakfast, inside areas are jsut perfect and very nice decoration. Simple but high quality and intelligent choice for furnitures styles.

"A German Hunting Lodge in Greece!"

Rate:  3 Stars

A mixed bag really but I would recommend this hotel. A great view over the gorge and the hotel fittings were of a very good quality. The bed was ok a bit hard but so many in greece seem to be! Given the quality of the hotel the two most disappointing things were the absence of decent access to the internet. One old computer located on the reception bench was very difficult to use. The second thing missing in this quality hotel was air conditioning which made sleeping on a very hot night a bit difficult.

Despite the last comments the hotel was more than adequate and the village very attractive. We were not able to find any good food locally and managed to get ripped off big time in one of the local places.
