"Great Hotel"

Rate:  4 Stars

Hello,

We stayed there in May`12 for 3 nights and we managed to get a very nice HB package. The hotel is great and most of the rooms have a partial sea-view. Our room was very spacious, (and I beleve all other rooms are like that), full of light and decorated in a fashionable way. Our balcony was quite big with a seated area (a table and 2 chairs). The food was really fine, especially the dinner was delicious. The main town was around 8-10 km away and as we were by car we went there almost every day. Louloudis Hotel has a beach bar just 150 meters from the hotel and you can enjoy the nice beach there. This was our second visit to Thassos and we had an amazing time.
Just a hint - if you love olives and olive oil - Thassos is probably one of the best places you can enjoy and buy them. I highly recommend you to visit the village of Rachoni (just a few km from Louloudis Hotel) and just across the Church in the village you can find a small edifice (store-house) where you can buy Organic olives and olive oil. The owner is native and offers home-made exceptional quality products.

Regards,
VessiD

"A great time at the Louloudis!"

Rate:  5 Stars

We always use TripAdvisor before booking a holiday but despite always intending to write our own reviews we never actually get round to doing it. However this is the first time I`ve felt compelled to write a review because I feel this particular accommodation really deserves it (I hope it’s useful!).

So my wife and I have just returned from a week in Thassos staying at the Louloudis hotel which we booked with Thomson. Upon arrival we were greeted by Paulina who was very friendly and efficient and showed us to our room. We were staying in one of the boutique rooms and from the moment we walked through the door we could see that it was decorated to a really high standard as well as being spotlessly clean. We were a little bit surprised to find that the air conditioning in the room is an additional cost of €5/day, however when we discussed this with other guests it turns out it was actually stipulated on the Thomson web site (a warning for those who missed in when booking). Another additional cost is the safety deposit box at €2.5/day but we didn`t bother with this...

The quality and cleanliness of our room could also be seen around the rest of the hotel. The lounge area (which also forms part of the dining area) is modern and stylish with comfy chairs. At the back of the hotel by the pool everything is again clean, comfortable and well maintained. No matter where you are in the hotel, it manages to create a chilled out atmosphere, ideal for the sort of holiday we were after.

The staff at the hotel are also all very friendly, they work tirelessly and are constantly swapping roles. Each morning they will be serving you breakfast then shortly after they may be seen preparing the pool area and then manning the poolside bar, I honestly don’t think I ever saw any member of staff just standing around. They are always busy, yet still manage a smile and polite conversation when you need a drink or are ordering food, even in the evening when they’ve been working all day long. This was so refreshing as we have stayed in a few nice hotels in the past that have been really let down by grumpy/rude staff, this is certainly not the case at Louloudis.

On our second day we walked to the beach (about 5 mins from hotel) and initially we weren’t too impressed as it only seemed to be a very small and busy area. Thankfully we soon realised we were not in the LouLoudis beach area which is actually a little further along the beach to the left of the hotel rather than walking directly down from it. In the Louloudis beach area there was a lot more room and beds/shades seemed readily available, having said that we didn’t spend too much time by the beach, mainly because it was so pleasant around the hotel. However perhaps one criticism of the pool area at Louloudis is that there is a limited number of beds/shades, this didn’t really cause a major problem during our stay but I can imagine that at busier periods it may cause a little frustration for guests who prefer time by the pool rather than the beach.

Away from the hotel the island is also beautiful. We hired a car and went exploring which meant we found lots of quaint little villages and secluded beach areas (some of which are quite difficult to reach!). There are only a few tavernas within reasonable walking distance of the hotel so hiring a car at least for a few days is something I’d recommend. We actually had the car for 4 days but we enjoyed our time at the hotel so much that we didn’t even use it on the fourth day!

The food at the hotel is also very nice indeed. Breakfast has a good selection and was always well stocked and lunchtime snacks by the pool were nice and very reasonably priced. Dining in the evening is enjoyable because of the ambience of the hotel but also because the food is excellent. We only had the buffet on our very first night and it seemed ok, but I would recommend ordering off the menu as the meals we had were delicious. Other guests also commented on how much they enjoyed the food while we were there.

I think our favourite evening of the holiday was the Greek night arranged by the hotel, this cost €12.50 but included a buffet and entertainment (greek dancers). If you get a chance to book a place it’s well worth it because Thomi (the owner) puts a lot of effort into making it a really good night, one that we will remember.

I have to say that we had a really great time from the first day we arrived to the moment we left. Thomi has created an excellent hotel, with a good group of staff who work hard to make your stay enjoyable. Thanks and all the best to everyone at Louloudis, we hope to see you again soon!

Room tip: Boutique rooms make your stay extra special!

"Fantastic Hotel"

Rate:  5 Stars

We have recently returned from the Louloudis hotel and what a gem!
From the moment that we arrived we were made to feel welcome, our room was modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel.
The pool area was very well maintained and had a fantastic view of the sea; there is a short walk to the beach where you will find a modern beach bar, sun beds and parasols that are free to the guests staying at the Louloudas. We travelled around the Island and I would consider the Louloudis beach to be one of the best on the island, with shallow calm water a mountain backdrop and pine trees dotted along the beach.
We stayed two weeks half board the evening meal was exceptional, with a wide selection on offer no two meals was ever served twice, there was a good choice of meat, fish and vegetarian options, the chef does this hotel proud. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel none of which I can comment on as we were happy to dine at the Hotel.
This was our first stay in Thassos and it will not be our last, it truly is beautiful if you are looking for peace and tranquillity. You can get around the Island on a bus however I would recommend that you hire a car, to see what the Island has to offer. . Please note if you are looking for an exciting nightlife Thassos may not be for you.
I feel privileged to have met the staff at this hotel; they were warm kind people that would go out of their way to ensure you enjoyed your stay.
A big thank you to Thomi owner/manager, Paulina, Babis and the rest of the staff, see you all soon.

"Like Thassos, then you will love this hotel!!!"

Rate:  5 Stars

Just back from a fantastic fortnight at the Louloudis hotel complex & I can honestly say that we where looked after by a fantastic team of people their. The complex is absolutely spotless & of a high standard for Thassos (We have been several times to this isle). We will highly recommend freinds & family to choose this hotel if travelling to Thassos in the future. Situated just 1km. outside Skalla Rachoni, it has a lovely beach of its own just 2 mins. walk away with bar providing drinks & light snacks but if you want there is another restaurant 100yds away. The sea is calm & shallow here & crystal clear, so it is safe for old & young.Thassos town is just 10km. away or 10 mins. by bus at 3euros20c.for 2 it is cheap...Aliki beach is a must to visit whilst here but you need to hire a car to get there.First time i have hired a car abroad & it was a fantastic experiance !!!NO TRAFFIC !!!! Will definately go back to this hotel, SOON.

"Excellent Hotel"

Rate:  5 Stars

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Louloudis Hotel and we can honestly say it is a first class hotel. The staff are courteous and polite and provide a first class service `with a smile` which is rare these days when travelling abroad. The hotel is immaculately clean in all areas, rooms, pool area and front of house. Thomi (proprietor), well what can I say except she `goes the extra mile` to ensure the guests are happy and satisfied with the services the Hotel provides. It is located in a quiet area of the island away from the hustle and bustle found in Thassos town. So, if it is a relaxing, enjoyable holiday in a beautiful hotel, then I highly recommend the Lououdis. Well done to Thomi and her team, we would not hesitate to return to this lovely hotel on the beautiful tranquil island of Thassos.

I`ve just returned from a one week holiday with my wife, son and his wife, we stayed at the Louloudis hotel and spa, a superb hotel with smart freshly decorated rooms with good sized well equipped bathrooms and comfortable beds, very clean, excellent service, good food, great pool area, in a fantastic setting. I could not fault this hotel. Thomi the owner/manager of the Louloudis and her hard working staff should be congratulated. Fantastic value for money.

"Wonderful hotel"

Rate:  5 Stars

We recently stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and had a lovely relaxing holiday. The hotel is clean and the facilities are great for a small hotel. The spa is a great addition and the pool area is quiet and there is a nice breeze with its elevated position. Our room was very clean, cool and comfortable with a lovely view out to the sea. The only downside is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, so would be advisable to pack a travel kettle. There is a full size fridge and kitchen area so it would be worthwhile. There are some lovely tavernas down by the beach but we loved going into Thassos town of an evening for our meal, not too far, a beautiful little port and lots of lovely restaurants and bars... We will definitely return in the near future it`s a wonderful and quiet island, very pretty and the people are very friendly.. Plus fab beaches :)

"BEAUTIFUL FIRST CLASS HOTEL"

Rate:  5 Stars

We found this hotel in the Thompsons brochure and our first thoughts were superb photos and location

We are a young couple of 26 & 31 and wanted something out of the main town for peace and quiet and that is exactly what we got at the Louloudis

Hotel is located down a small lane that leads to its own private beach which is about 5mins walk from hotel, Beach is superb with its own Beach Bar

Right back to the hotel, Reception, Restaurant and rooms are Maintained and cleaned to th highest Possible standard

Pool Area and The Terrace Bar are absolutely spot on in every way and are open all day

The Staff at the Louloudis are Fantastic especially Paulina and Babis, They bend over Backwards to help you out at any time of day at all, and if you need something the hotel doesn`t have they will make sure you get it!

The staffs English speaking is great and we honestly can`t say enough about Paulina, She is Fantastic in every way and really made our holiday Great

We found the Hotel Owner/Manager Thommi not as Friendly as her staff as from what we saw she was always doing her own thing, but her staff do really make up for it!

We will definately be going back to the Louloudis and would recommend it to all our friends and Family

We wish everyone at the Louloudis the best and we will see you soon
