"Don`t book Junior suite, it does not exist. "

Rate:  4 Stars

The whole concept, the renovation the interior design are all very good. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Probably your best choice to date in Kastoria but the hotel management has some issues to address, read more....

Things to keep in mind when booking: Children are not allowed in the smallish swimming pool during afternoon/evening hours and there is a ß‚¬10 charge per person for using the sauna, hamam and pool facilities. To my opinion this should not be the case for a 5* hotel. Furthermore, the food at the restaurant could be a lot better. For a more gourmet experience try `Grada` a lakeside restaurant on the North Beach.

Finally beware of booking a junior suite if you are a family of four. It`s a lie! The room is just a superior double with a sofa bed and an extra bed for the second child.

Room tip: Junior suites do not exist.

"Very good"

Rate:  5 Stars

Clean, nice, spacious rooms. Didn`t try the spa cause did not have time to. The breakfast was excellent and rich with many choices of food. The view to the lake was not so good from the 1st floor room.

Room tip: First floor rooms do not have a wide view to the lake. These are the rooms that are sold via booking...

"Great Hotel"

Rate:  5 Stars

A very good hotel in a beatiful town.
We spent with my family, 4 days in two double connecting rooms in Limneon Golden. The rooms were very clean and modern, with a lot of space, very good A/C, quick enough Wi-Fi, and all the comforts you expect from a 5 star hotel. The only negative was the size of the balconies and the fact that there was only one chair and nothing more, so you couldn`t admire the spectacular view of the lake.
The breakfast was gorgeous with everything you would like.
We had a H/B package, and the dinner was very well cooked, but with few choices. But if you want to have dinner a la cart, the prices were very good.
The staff was very polite ( especially George Mitrousis in the reception ) and tried to do their best for your satisfaction.
The pool was large ( but very cold ), with a lot of space to sit, and the pool bar had many snacks and drinks for every choice. The spa was included in our package, but the indoor pool was small and we didn`t try it, because of the smell of chlorium.
All in all it was a great hotel for business and leisure travellers, in an affordable price ( 100 € for every double room ).

"nothing special."

Rate:  3 Stars

for the city of kastoria maybe it is the best but still a very average hotel that tries at least to be descent .
decoration is typical of a hotel in greek province-no imagination at all and typical but upscale hotel furnitures . check-in/out was professional and of course as always happens in greek provincial hotels there was nobody to help you with the suitcases.rooms were rather small but everything new.there were the usual amenities-lcd t.v, a small mini-bar, in room safe.the bathroom was of very good size with bathroom amenities (unfortunatelly the cheapest quality bath foam etc,) bathrobes and slippers.the decoration and the colors they used it was more suitable for a night club than a cosy hotel room -especially the silver armchair (!) in the room.well taste i believe it is not the best all around the hotel.
soundproof was really good.the beds were o.k. the spa we tried it twice was a rather small area but nice with a small well heated pool.
food was above average as the service most of the times.
if again in kastoria city i prefer to stay here again than in any other dreatful hotel the city has to offer.

"Great last minute stay"

Rate:  5 Stars

We booked this hotel last minute and were delighted with everything from the room to the service. Our only regret is that we didnt stay longer. We stayed in the older Crystal building which still had great rooms and ideal with kids as it is close to the pool. The view is very impressive with the lake and surrounding mountains and the town is also very clean and beautiful.

Will definitely stay again.

"The best choice in Kastoria "

Rate:  4 Stars

We have spend New Year`s (2011) holidays in a Junior Suite in Limneon Golden. The room was not too big but with smart use of space, therefore comfortable even for 4 persons. There was a nice lake view. Breakfast was very good, served in the old hotel of the resort. In specific days more variety would be welcomed. We have tried once the restaurant of the hotel for dinner and despite some delay in serving the orders (for which we received apologies) everything was tasteful. There is an indoor pool in Limneon Golden but children are allowed to use it only in early morning.

Room tip: In Limneon Golden there are three floors. Avoid the first in which there is no lake view at all.

"the best in Western Macedonia"

Rate:  4 Stars

I was there with family between Christmas and New Year`s day. We stayed at Limneon Golden, the new part of the hotel. Reception staff was kind and very helpful with information requested. I liked mostly the lounge area, in black and white classical style, with a big fireplace in the middle. The snacks and beverages served in the lounge were tasteful and rationally priced. I also liked the spa and gym area, although I did not use them. Strange enough, but you have to pay extra for pool or gym use, very frustrating for a 5 star hotel...
The room was good and offered a nice view to the lake, but it was not spotlessly clean...
What I really did not like was the breakfast: average quality, boring and cheap...
