"A great holiday with a great hotel to stay in."

Rate:  5 Stars

The hotel itself is a small(ish), clean and inviting independent hotel. the room we stayed in had a safe for your valuables, a mini-bar, tea / coffee making facilities and a comfortable bed. The air-con was efficient and quiet. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is 5 mins or so walking distance from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the heart of the Eastern side of the city. It is even closer to a huge range of restaurants. there is also a (small) supermarket and a corner shop which sells snacks and bottled water. The hotel reception staff were always very helpful. It was reassuring to know that they were always available if we needed their help.

Because we had requested it, each morning we were enthusiastically taught a Turkish `word for the day`, which was great fun. I think it contributed to the extremely pleasant reception from shopkeepers, restaurant waiters and local residents. Without exception, everyone was very welcoming.

I`m sure we will be visiting Istanbul again in the future and we when we do, we will be looking for a room in the White House Hotel for our stay.

"My First Trip to the Beautiful Istanbul."

Rate:  5 Stars

White House Hotel in Stanbul, Turkey is a home away from home. It is well positioned for visiting all sites in the Old City. They are very warm hosts. Enjoyed the breakfast on the roof. They serve you lots of food to keep you going for the day. Had a good time winding down with the staff, with turkish coffee and just hanging out loose. Thanks everyone specially Emrah and Oguzcan, my BFF`s in Stanbul. Hope to see you guys soon in USA.

Room tip: There are only 22 rooms, and they are all good.

"Luxury boutique hotel with great service"

Rate:  5 Stars

We spent four very enjoyable nights at the White House. The staff service and friendliness could not be faulted with many personal service touches that five star hotels do not always live up to.
The location in the heart of the old city is fantastic for day and night time exploring. Our first visit to Istanbul and we will be back to both Istanbul and the White House.

"Great, Comfortable Place to Stay in Old City"

Rate:  5 Stars

We stayed one night at the White House Hotel to finish off two weeks around Turkey and were pleased with the comfort of the accommodations and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The room we had faced a back courtyard and was AMAZINGLY quiet (no early morning calls to prayer to wake you up).

Our arrival was a bit frazzled as our taxi driver could not find the hotel and we were forced to walk about 10 minutes with our luggage (you might want to take advantage of the shuttle service or take the Metro from the airport to avoid this confusion- it`s very close to the Sultanahmet station), but were immediately put at ease and welcomed with a refreshing fruit juice and turkish delight at the White House Hotel. We had one minor issue with our room when we first got in, but it was IMMEDIATELY taken care of.

The breakfasts are nice, but perhaps a bit westernized compared to other places we stayed in Turkey. The best thing about them though is that they are served on their roof terrace which has a great view of Hagia Sofia and the Golden Horn/Bosphorus.

Another big selling point is the convenient location. If you`re looking to spend your time mostly in the Old City, this place is perfect. It is even pretty easy (and scenic) to get up to Beyoglu on the tram.

If we end up staying in Sultanahmet again, we will definitely check The White House Hotel first!

"Birthday Surprise"

Rate:  5 Stars

We only had one night in Istanbul so we booked a room at The White House as recommended by several friends who had stayed there. Upon our arrival the wonderful staff had a Birthday Cake with candles and sparklers for a real Birthday surprise. One of our friends had alerted the staff by email and they were ready for me! So thoughtful! Our room was small but elegant and filled with balloons for another Birthday expression. The staff is excellent and responsive to any and all your needs. The rooftop breakfast buffet provides excellent food accompanied by an incomparable view of Istanbul. The location is near enough to walk to the Aya Sofia, The Blue Mosque, The Cisterns, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar. Also, close to many good restaurants.
