    "Friendly,tranquil setting in bussling city"

    Rate:  5 Stars

Jsut on the outskirts of central Istanbul but with a tram opposite you are at the Blue Mosque/Grand Bazzar in under 15 minutes or a pleasant stroll in under 1 hour.Local amenaties are fine, with banks, resturants, shops and small amrkets outside but being just away from the hustle of the City is a huge bonus, when trying to relax and sleep or just chill out by the pool. The hotel has good sized rooms, clean and confortable, friendly staff, excellent Gym and a superb outdoor pool which in the summer is priceless.Great value for money, have stayed there some 10 times in 4 years on bsuienss and vacation and highly recommended.

Room tip: Enjoy teh marvelous city of istanbul but in a location where you can wind down after exploring or a...

    "Average HI"

    Rate:  3 Stars

Don`t expect the best from this Holiday Inn.

Thin walls - Was hearing the TV next door until 3am and was awake at 6am due to the noisy traffic. Reception didn`t ask for smoking/non-smoking when I arrived and ended up in a smelly room.

Was moved the next day to a more pleasant room. But beware when booking!

Room tip: Avoid street side and ask for pool side.

    "Nice hotel, convenient location"

Stayed 3 nights, friendly staff, great turkish bath and gym. Free Wifi always a bonus. The tram and local area markets/restaurants and pubs was the highlight of this hotel.

"A must stay hotel in Old Istanbul"

    Rate:  5 Stars

If you are staying in Istanbul for a day or a week, I highly recommend staying at this Holiday Inn. Like the other reviews it is real close to the must see attractions of Istanbul (15mins). The hotel is in a position to allow you access to come and go by all ground means of transportation. For example if you are walking the side walk is 2 meters wide all the way down to the next tram junction and like the other reviews close to food, ATMs, gas stations, laundry, etc. If you are driving a rental, or on a tour bus or rode in a taxi it is very easy to come and go from the main entrance of the hotel and the parking lot adjacent the hotel. Not like the five stars that are closer to the main attractions and charge an arm and a leg to park (not all, but most of them do). There is a stop light which holds up traffic which creates some noise for the first and second floors near the road. However, if you are trying to leave for a meeting or leave in general the stop light is nice. For example: I sat in a side street next to the double tree for 20mins. If you have meetings on the other side, let’s say taxsim square I would recommend that you stay in this hotel. For I have seen and or observed very auspicious behavior during the night at hotels and or in the streets, for example Prostitution, gangs, thugs, thieves.
Now the bad: If you are staying in Istanbul and you don’t like noise, I recommend you get some ear plugs. Every hotel caters to weddings and parties which can last to about 2am. This even goes for the 5 star hotels. No matter how much you complain the party keeps going. So get some ear plugs. If you don’t ask the staff for it they won’t give it up. So, become an avid reader and learn what to ask for when booking or checking into a hotel. For example: times for restaurant in hotel, laundry, etc.

Room tip: Ask for the 4 or 5th floor rooms if your by the road. Cut down on the noise and smell of the road...

"Peaceful setting in a vibrant bustling city"

    Rate:  4 Stars

On the outskirts of the city but with a tram stop directly outside this hotel it provides a peaceful haven away from the bustling city. Clean bright with excellent staff we were upgraded on arrival to a suite which was lovely. I would be happy to recommend this hotel and would be happy to visit it again.
