    "Great Location, and Great Stay"

    Rate:  5 Stars

Berce Hotel is well situated near the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome. Mehmet runs the hotel, and he is very helpful, doing basically anything to make your stay more enjoyable. The hotel serves a very good and very substantial breakfast every day on the top floor, with views of the Sea of Marmara. Very comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms for the money.

"Good value in the heart of the old city"

    Rate:  5 Stars

It depends what you want and what you`re doing. Berce is a small hotel with limited facilities, but is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are comfortable - though small - and there is a railway line one block away that you can hear, though it is really not disruptive. But that`s about it for the downsides.
Breakfast is on a roof terrace that overlooks both the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorous. Mehmet in reception is extremely helpful - and speaks excellent English. His colleagues too were always happy to assist. The location of the hotel - a five minute walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque - could scarcely be bettered if you are looking to do the most famous sites of this wonderful city. Yet it is also in a quiet neighbourhood with several local.
    restaurants.
There is no lift, so you need to climb stairs

    "Nice and cozy..."

    Rate:  5 Stars

Very nice old Ottoman house, but not overpowering style, well restored, all modern amenities and comfort. Good bed - just as we like - on firmer side. Squeaky clean, offers excellent breakfast. Location is very good - close to all important sites by foot. Roof tpo terrace - beautiful view on Marmara sea and the Blue Mosque. Can be used at night for a romantic glass of vine too... Room vas very comfortable, had 3 balconies, 2 with sea view, and all modern ammenities.
The only drowback - you cannot sleep with windows open, even though there is fresh breeze from the sea. Sunrise payer call at ~4:30 am is very loud. I believe - everywhere in Istanbul though... Later on train starts running (once every hour or so) nearbay the old city wall which is not as loud but you can still hear it... So you have to close the windows and turn on AC which is very efficient and quite silent and windows are soundproof...
All in all - very good experience. Mehmet was very helpful and kind and breakfast and cleaning ladies did superb job.
    Would stay again.

    "WONDERFUL SERVICE, JOYFUL STAY!!!"

    Rate:  5 Stars

This is one of the best hotels I have been to in Istanbul!! The staff are wonderful, they are sooooo service minded!!! I will for sure go visit this hotel again!! Great location and very clean rooms and well furnished. Very close to Hagia Sofia and Sultan Ahmed mosque (blue mosque). The staff were very friendly and tried everything to make our stay memorable. Mr Mehmet was truly a pleasure to meet, he helped us and guided us to the best places in Istanbul and provided us with very useful brochures and information.

"Excellent stay....will definitely go back again!"

    Rate:  5 Stars

It is a small hotel but it has so many characters!
First, it is close to blue mosque (5-10 min walk) and it is in a very quiet neighbourhood. Within 3 minutes walk, you can find some shops and restaurants.
There are many lovely details in the room setting and make you feel cozy and welcoming and it is very clean.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel also provides a hearty breakfast for those with healthy appetite. I really enjoyed the time sitting in the roof top terrace and having my breakfast to start my day.
If I have chance to visit Istanbul again, I will definitely stay in Berce Hotel again.
