"Beautiful nature"

Rate:  3 Stars

I did stay here the first September week. As an overall impression, I spent a great time there. The hotel is very nice located and we did rent a car to visit the entire island. Definitely, you have something to see, specially if you love nature and remote places.

The hotel has moderate services: in bathroom you find only soap (no shower gel, bathrobe or other things you expect from a 5 stars location). No towels for the pool or beach.

The entire hotel seems to had some great times but right now it is in a decayed state. You can see that on the pools where some tiles are broken (and a green carpet is put instead there) or in the all inclusive food offer (you find mostly 1 meat sortiment and not the best quality like chopped chicken or turkey legs). You will find a weak selection of cocktails and 2 kind of wines served from plastic bottles (very cheap).

The hotels rooms had sometimes better days but are acceptable (again, not for 5 start but for 3 stars they could be ok).

At the beach seems they didn`t pay their taxes hence the private beach was concessioned to a local person and you have to pay here an extra of 8 EUR/day for 2 persons.

But the personnel is great, always willing to help - compliment for that. I would rate this hotel with 3 stars, all inclusive / this is much more appropriate to reality.

"fantastic location"

Rate:  2 Stars

Have just got back and was not impressed by the hotel. Not enough staff on duty. no-one to show us to our room which took 10mins to locate. Room ok but bathroom fittings coming off wall, shower only hand-held and never any hot water. Our clothes felt a little damp always in the wardrobe. Too many Brits/Germans drinking too much. How embarassing!
Pool was good, reception area great.
Yes, it is VERY STEEP in both directions from the hotel but we like walking and it kept us fit. Flowers/birds are great. People in the local villages are great.
Would go back to Corfu but NEVER to this hotel - or probably any other that offers all inclusive in this way. The hotel seems to be struggling - it has the potential to be great but needs a lot of input to get there.

Would not use this Hotel ever again

The Bad News first
We arrived in Corfu, a person living on corfu collected us from the airport after 2 hours and four or five different bays around the Pelekas area we eventally arrived at the Yaliskari Palace (Only 20minutes from the airport). NO sign at bottom of drive!! No Mention of the Golden View.
After changing rooms 3 times, although the bed linen is very clean, Please have a look at your mattress!! in one bedroom the underside of the mattress what could only be described as `Bodily Fluids`. Uck!!! Swimming pool had no Depth markers, surrounding area tiles were very slippery, No lifeguard present, Slabs broken and pieces of carpet put over the damage.
Snack bar by the pool, food left out all day not refrigerated

On the positive side
Very pleasant staff it does help if you can use a little Greek at least say Good morning (Kalimera) Hello (Yassas). Manager very helpful.
Views and the sunset are excellent.

We hired a car to appreciate what a wonderful island Corfu is

"not bad for price"

Rate:  3 Stars

stayed here for 2 weeks for a late season break. Staff very friendly, reception area clean and tidy, rooms very clean. We knew exactly what we were going to and for the price we paid couldn`t complain. The main gripe is the secluded position of the hotel you would definitely need a car. Also the wasps were annoying when sat round the pools. Food was average always found something to eat. The great plus side were the views from our balcony absolutely stunning. The entertainment could have been much better but the animation team were very friendly and tried their best. Went to Corfu town for the day and wasn`t impressed, stray dogs and rats roaming the streets. This was our first visit to corfu and was told by other holidaymakers not to judge the greek islands on corfu, been to Cyprus before so was probably expecting too much.
