"The best!"

Rate:  5 Stars

This place is fantastic. The website does not gives it justice. It is an oasis of peace and beauty for all senses. The rooms are beautiful and clean with plenty of space to relax. The food is delicious and plentiful. The surrounding stunning. The position for sightseeing spot on. The service impeccable. Costas and Panagiota go out of their way to make you feel at home. We could only stay two nights as we had booked in Monemvassia but we will be back at the end of our holiday or next year for a much longer stay!

"Charming place"

Rate:  5 Stars

This small family-run hotel is simply amazing. The rooms are spacious, with great views and beautifully decorated to the last detail. The garden is enchanting and the pool located at the best spot with trees creating shade. They serve a delicious breakfast. Everything is well thought of.We simply didnt want to leave and now we re thinking about going back again. It is also a good base if you want to explore the area. You could easily stay for a long period and have day trips to the islands that are close by (1,5 hour drive more or less and short boat trip) like Poros, Spetses, the volcano of Methana and its hot springs, the ancient theater of Epidaurus, Nafplio and Mycenes.

"Wonderful service, great rooms, excellent breakfast! "

Rate:  5 Stars

This hotel came up trumps on several counts.

We had an excellent balcony, with a fantasic view across the bay to Palea Epidaurus - it was huge, with enough space for a table and chairs and two sunloungers; and had shade too, so we spent quite a bit of time there.

Our room was very spacious and the fittings were in very good condition. The owners ߀” a young family ߀” were very welcoming and really made you feel at home. It was a pleasure to be their guests.

One other highlight was the delicious and well-presented breakfast. We sat at our table and were presented with a whole load of different things to choose from ߀” plates of cheese and ham, fruit, homemade jams and local honey, a different egg dish every day, cakes, yoghurt and honey ... And great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice from their garden.

The only downside was the location ߀” we were 2 km outside of Palea Epidaurus ߀” but other than that, it is a good base for exploring the area, and I can safely say that this is one of the best places I`ve stayed in and would recommend it without hesitation.

"A Hotel Apart"

Rate:  5 Stars

A wonderful, secret sanctuary away from the hustle & bustle of town, but close enough to walk either along the beach or by road. There is a short steep climb up to the apartments, but it`s worth the effort! The rooms are pleasant & contain all you`d want for a holiday stay including balconies with fabulous views. But what makes this place really special are the location & the `common` areas. The open-plan reception, bar, lounge & dining area are quite beautiful & the log fire especially welcome on chilly evenings. The verandah, gardens & stunning pool area plus the infinity pool are dotted with fabulous lighting & the whole small complex is covered with flowering plants & trees. Not only is the entire place such a fabulous find but Costas the owner is equally as special. There were eight in our group & we were quite demanding but Costas just could not do enough for us & made us feel so very welcome. No request was too trivial for him & in addition he also suggested several options for trips etc. We had access to a bbq & cooked our own food on a couple of evenings & Costas gave us the option to eat on our balcony or to make use of the dining room. We really felt as if we had complete run of this wonderful place. On other evenings we ate in the hotel & had meals fit for a king. Costas would let us know if there was anything special on the menu & whatever we ordered was perfectly cooked with generous helpings. In addition, the red wine was plentiful & so drinkable!!! Breakfast, though advertised as `continental` are a feast to behold. Inexpensive & including fresh juice, eggs, fruit, cheeses, toasted sandwiches, cake etc etc. Very good value for money indeed. This is such a fabulous place that it is tempting to keep it a big secret!! But we want to ensure that others share this experience - so don`t delay, make a booking, you won`t be disappointed. Note that the photos don`t really do it justice - it just has to be experienced!!

Room tip: Apartment overlooking the steep climb - has views of the town & islands

"A gem of a hotel"

Rate:  5 Stars

This really has to be experienced, no photos can do justice to the amazing views and splendid service. The light over the bay changes every few minutes and you could sit and just enjoy the vistas from your own balcony, or from the terraces around the hotel - or even better, from the infinity pool. I didn`t want to leave the hotel although Ancient Epidavros itself is also charming and worth exploring. It is easy to get to the Ancient Theatre by local bus, or taxi, and the port area is perfect for a drink or meal. Definitely a place to go back to.

"an oasis of peace, beauty and kindness"

Rate:  5 Stars

We stayed at Yialasi with our four teens ! Spent an unforgettable week ! The Bekas family makes this place a haven of comfort, with tastefully fitting. Kostas and his wife will serve a creative and generous breakfast, always ready to help or give advice about the surroundings or trips. The rooms are perfect: overlooking the bay, high standard, very clean. From the open lounge to the nice garden, from the beautiful (and well kept !) swiming pool to the numerous hidden corners offering some shade to read and relax, everyhing was a gift to us and a pure blessing.
We needed to be "far from the madding crowd", Yialasi offered us the quietness and the peace we would not have found anywhere else in the area..
Our only regret ? we could only stayed at Yialasi for 6 nights.... as we had to drive to Monemvassia..

Room tip: All rooms will give you a magnificent view on Epidavros bay.

"Excellent Hotel - Highly Recommended "

Rate:  5 Stars

Our group consisted of seven adults and 1 child: British and Australians - Between us we have visited many countries, including Japan, America, much of Europe, Mauritius, Tahiti. In our opinion this is a first rate hotel, run by people who know what customer service is all about.

This hotel offers almost Japanese level of service ߀“ which for Greece is a refreshing change. Panagiota greeted us with a warm welcoming smile and we were shown to our rooms. All rooms are well furnished and finished to a high standard, immaculately clean, balcony overlooking the sea and / or pool.

Two things to remember: One, The web site understates the hotel - it is better than it looks on the web. We enjoyed our first night so much, we cancelled a reservation in Nafplio to return to Yialasi for our final night in the area.

Secondly, ensure when you approach the STEEP drive up to the Hotel, that you are in First Gear and the AIR CONDITIONING IS SWITCHED OFF.

Kostas & Panagiota Beka care about their customers offering great attention to detail. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
Enjoy.

"Fantastic "

Rate:  5 Stars

We stayed in Yialasi hotel last month and this was our second visit to Epidauros.
The place was highly recommended initially by my sister who lives in Athens as the best place to stay in Epidauros. The service is simply first class and the recent addition of the swimming pool makes it truly fantastic and great value for money. A free high speed internet connection makes it easy to catch up with work as well.
It is a small family hotel and Costas and his wife work around the clock to ensure that all customers receive first class service.
I could not praise the place enough and I hope to visit it again soon.

"Great place, views, breakfast "

Rate:  5 Stars

One of the best-value hotels we have come across and this was before we enjoyed the breakfast. Huge rooms, great views from the balcony down over the sea and very restful. Staff were great too and all for less than 70 pounds a night. If you are thinking of visiting Epidaurus, stay here, don`t think of anywhere else.
