"Worth the money, amazing value!"

Rate:  4 Stars

We spent a week at Lito Beach and absolutely loved it! The room was very nice, the pool alright and the garden amazing! The trees give shade and a pleasant sea breeze keeps the temperature tolerable. The beach is right there as well.

Our cleaning lady was such a sweetheart and the staff was otherwise nice as well.

The only reason that I`m not giving Lito Beach five stars is because of the beds. The mattresses were rock hard and my back still aches from sleeping there. Also, the pool is kinda small, but it does it`s job. Otherwise for the price we paid, I recommend this place to everyone!

Room tip: The balconies varied quite a bit, I`d ask for an upper floor room, otherwise you might get a bal...

"Dejligt hotel og skønne rolige omgivelser"

Rate:  4 Stars

Her er alt i restauranter (prøv bl.a. (busstationen).

"Best vacation ever and we will be back as soon as possible!"

Rate:  5 Stars

We stayed in Lito Beach for 2 weeks 23 June to 7July 2011, and we had an excelent vacation. The room was very nice, the beds was excelent( and I have a bad back and for two weeks I slept like a baby and felt yong again), the stewardess was happy, service minded and the room was nicely cleaned, the food was outstanding and the waiters was frienly, had good humor and was always service minded,

One of the reason that we want to go back is because of the staff, they make you feel like you are home and you feel like they are your friends not staff.

I will thank all the staff in Lito Beach for making our vacation memorable.

"The area is good but not the hotel"

Rate:  1 Stars

Good location if you want a more quiet area, a bit away from all the other hotels. Food store some minutes walk down the road from the hotel. The beach is right behind the hotel and it’s not too crowded. The room standard is ok. But the beds are terrible! After two weeks both me and my wife had an aching back. I talked to many of the other hotel guests and they had the same problem with these terrible beds. So if you want to sleep on something that feels like sleeping on the floor, go ahead pay this hotel a visit! But I recommend everybody to choose another hotel if you don’t want a painful back for a month after you’ve come home, that’s how bad the beds were. I loved Crete and I’m going back now in June, but another hotel this time.

"Very nice quiet and cozy hotel"

Rate:  4 Stars

The hotel was very nice at least for my family. With 2 kids (5&8 years) we fitted nicely to 2 rooms and kitchenette.
There is no other hotel in 500m range and this creates very peacefull atmosphere to the hotel. You can hear the evening noise from the nearby hotels in the balcony but not inside the rooms.

The pool area is excellent for the kids who can swim a bit and separate small children area in the pool served nicely also accompanying family with the smaller children (1 & 3 years). The best thig in the pool is that it is not too big , you can easilly watch the whole pool area from the sunbed and this made the sun bathing really relaxing experience.
Only complaint about the pool area is the slippery tiling around the pool. Especially the small children need to be extra careful there.

The restaurant serves good food with reasonable prices. You can naturally find better food and more pictoresque surroundings elsewhere but the pool restaurant fitted exactly to our needs. We usually took the food as take away and ate it in the room balcony.

The hotel beach is really close to the pool area but it is not very good for smaller children since the waves are quite high most of the time.

The hotel is in close proximity of CAldera Beach hotel and thus there are plenty of services avilable if you need them but you don`t have to suffer from having them in your doorstep. It sounded like the night life in the Italian hotel right next to Caldera beach would have anoyed me if I would have lived any nearer to it.

One more recommendation there is "Greco cars" car renting company located <1 km towards Platanias. It had the best car rental prices I found in the area qand the service was very good. I recommend renting a car for at least two days and visiting the Elafonissi and Falasarna.

The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. Our family enjoyed the stay very much. I can easilly recommend this hotel to anybody with smaller children.
If you want to have a ball this is definitelly not your place.

Only negative experience during our stay was the burglar who visited our room during our absence.Luckilly we had all our valuables in the safety deposit and we did not lose anything. But as this is common problem with rooms with ground floor balconies, you really cannot blame the hotel about this one.

Helt greit hotel, koselige betjening.

"Beautiful and relaxing athmosphere"

Rate:  4 Stars

I`m the same opinion as HannuT. The hotel was beatiful and the quiet location good for us. The garden was wonderful in May! We spent time on the beach, which was also quiet. The staff was very friendly and food in the pool bar was good. We had an apartment. The kitchen was small, but we only made breakfast there.

We ate well in Crete in many places! Especially we liked the Beach Restaurant Ariadne in Platanias with cretan and international kitchen. Near the Lito Beach hotel, in the old village of Gerani, we ate well and inexpensively in Restaurant Alexandros. It is run by a nice elderly couple.

"not for families"

Rate:  2 Stars

This hotel is small and the staff are very friendly. It is not a hotel for families, especially those with small children. The rooms are tiny with very little space to put clothing and other personal belongings. If you have a child you simply get a twin room, which is already very small for a couple, with an extra bed in it for the child. There is no room for suitcases and not enough room to walk around. The bathroom is totally inadequate. There is a loo, a sink and a shower hose on the wall! There is a small curtain to pull around a tiny square area of the floor in one of the corners of the bathroom. There are no shelves or space worth talking about to but any belongings. Everything in the bathroom gets wet. You would be hard pushed to have a decent wash. It is very basic and reminded me of washing facilities that you would expect to find in Greece 20 years ago! Overall this is not a hotel to go to if you want any form of comfort or privacy in your room during the day. The rooms are adequate to sleep in at night and that is about it. It is very clean. The hotel bar is very friendly and is, as other reviews say, warm and welcoming. The views from this hotel are stunning but all hotels in the area have similar views given this part of Crete is in the mountains and overlooks a beautiful bay. The breakfast is dreadful. It consists of bread, ham, cheese, olives, feta and cornflakes. None of the products used were particulary nice. The juice is a concentrated syrup based product, the ham is processed. We moved hotels after one day. Other adult guests at the hotel however loved it. I advise people to shop around before staying here. There are lots of hotels/apartments in this area.
