"Fine for the price"Rate:  3 Stars
The room we stayed in was a family deluxe with a pool. The room was always clean and spacious by European standards. A clean safe place. I was in kolymvari for work and this hotel served its purpose. I wouldn`t vacation in this town because the beach is rocky. The food was just ok. If you are looking for a decent place for a reasonable rate then this will work.

"this is a con"Rate:  1 Stars
I completely agree with the previous review.
The so called restaurant is nothing more than a canteen.
The bar has no waiters as has the reataurant. The entertainment consists of a pool table, table football, table tennis and air hockey which are all located in the only bar in the place so it is always full of noisy kids.
Any travel agent advertising this as 5* could be in for some serious litigation due to gross misrepresentation.

"Dreadful Chrispy Palce"Rate:  2 Stars
DONT STAY HERE IF YOU THINK YOU ARE GETTING A 5* STAY!
We returned from the Chrispy Palace hotel last night after spending a week there.
Our main complaint is the total mis representation of this "hotel" as being in the words of the brochure a "brand new luxurious HOTEL"
The Chrispy Palace is NOT a 5* hotel, but merely just an addition of new de luxe rooms to an otherwise very ordinary 3* star hotel/self contained units. The description implies that this is a separate hotel of superior quality with therefore everything else that is 5*, which normally includes restaurants, service, separate reception, pool etc. It even has a separate name - Chrispy Palace supposedly to distinguish it from the cheaper part of the complex
The rooms themselves are very nice, bright and modern & very clean, and by Greeces still very basic standards, are certainly 4 possibly 5*, but that is where the comparison ends.
The rooms are advertised as all sea facing. This is stretching the imagination. The only reason we could see a small triangle of blue sea, was because the horrible scrub land that the room overlooked, had been cleared, just enough to see the sea!
The first 2 nights were spent without any hot water in this "luxurious hotel", yet we were offered a hot shower in the basic hotel accommodation, whilst the plumber sorted out the luxurious rooms. Not very good, as I would have thought that paying a premium would have ensured we would have hot water before anyone else in the cheaper accommodation.
The food was truly dreadful for a 5* luxurious hotel, with one restaurant, serving buffet style meals every day with very little variation. No need to dress up here ( a normal requisite of most 5* hotels.) Most turned up in no more than their swimsuits - including dinner in the evening. Now you may like casual, but this is not to be expected in a 5* hotel
The guests from all parts of the hotel ate there as well, so there was again no way this could be described as a 5* HOTEL. The dirty plates were left on the tables, because the restaurant couldn`t cope with the numbers. There are no waiters, just a free for all at the canteen style buffet.
Drinks for all inclusive guests are local beer, local wine, local brandy and THATS IT! Everything else has to be PAID for.
Amer ican breakfast is scrambled eggs (never anything else) hard boiled eggs and small german frankfurters. They should be done under the trade description act for that alone. Americans would be horrified to think that this dogs dinner (breakfast) could be anything remotely like their breakfasts of eggs (anyway you like) bacon, hash browns, beans, sausages, waffles etc etc!
As fully inclusive guests we always travel to 4/5* hotels anywhere in the world, and would expect from any of them at least:-
1. A choice of restaurants with an al a carte menu
2. All drinks apart from champagne
3. Service from waiters from bar to pool (especially in 5* star hotels)
4. Far more amenities than were on offer free of charge
5 Help with baggage - porter etc
If you expect any of the above - don`t bother booking here
As far as we were aware there was no entertainment at all, but as there was no guest services book in the room we wouldn`t know
On a much more serious note there were no fire instructions at all in the room, with no indications of routes in the event of fire.
With no guest services book (which is standard in just about any hotel in the world, regardless of star rating) we had no idea of emergency help for doctors etc
We feel that we have been very much duped into believing we were staying in a 5* HOTEL, by
the description, & that whilst it was part of the Chrispy world, was separate, with matching 5* facilities. After all it even has a different name to distinguish its "status" This is absolutely not the case, and so we have paid for no more than a superior room in a lower star hotel, which was not our intention.
This complex is built in the middle of nowhere, with a view of scubland between the room and the beach. The beach is probably the most uninteresting piece of pebble beach I have ever seen. There are no other restaurants around and everything is a car ride away, so unless you are prepared to pay for a hire car or taxi you are trapped.
We complained to the representative Manolis on site, and have completed a complaint form. Manolis was neither bothered or concerned. So much was his lack of concern, that he couldn`t be bothered to collect the complaint report as agreed, leaving us to leave a copy of the report with the hotel, trusting them to forward it on.
THIS TRULY IS AN ABSOLUTE CON TO DESCRIBE THIS HOTEL AS 5*. IF YOU HAVE BOOKED OR ABOUT TO - I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU THINK AGAIN.
If you are happy with a reasonable class 3* star hotel this is fine providing you only pay 3* prices. We unfortunately didn`t!
P S The only reason I have given this 2 star rating & not 1 is due to the cleanliness of the complex and rooms - for no other reason
