"Amazing hotel, amazing space!"

Rate:  5 Stars

Our two night stay should have been 5 nights.
We stayed in a junior suite on the corner of the hotel which is not on the main street.
Massive space, Fabulous shower and bathroom.
B.fast was perfect with a great offering of all tyoes of quality food and great coffee.
I shall definately stay here when I next visit Berlin.

Room tip: I am very fussy about places where I stay, but this was just fine and dandy. Book the rooms that ar...

"Good hotel, great location!"

Rate:  4 Stars

Me and my boyfriend have just got home from 3 nights at the Sana hotel. The hotel was very modern Nd extremely clean, the bed was comfortable and there was free wifi. The breakfast was delicious, lots of variety and really good quality. There is a u-bah station across the street so getting around is very easy. There are lots of shops and restaurants within a 10 min walk of the hotel.

A couple of negatives, the air conditioning in our room was either not working properly or extremely poor which wasn`t a massive problem as we were there in April and simply opened. Window but this could be an issue in summer. The second this is that you can see directly into the bathroom from the bedroom (part of the modern feel of the hotel). This wasn`t a problem for us but not ideal if you lie your privacy.

We would recommend this hotel as there is no denying that it is good value fro money!

Room tip: Our room faced away from the cross-roads on which the hotel is located. We had no issue with traffic...

"Nice and clean hotel"

Rate:  5 Stars

The Sana Hotel is situated close to the Augsburger Strasse subway station in the Charlottenburger district. It is within walking distance of a.o. Kurfurstendam, the Gedaechtnischkirche and Tiergarten.
The rooms are clean with comfortable beds, safety box, good internet connection and a well-equipped bathroom.
The restaurant has a great variety of dishes and the morning buffet is delicious.
The staff is helpful and professional.
Definitely a hotel we can recommend.

"Great for a short stay or a weekend"

Rate:  5 Stars

We just came back from Berlin where we had a lovely stay at Sana hotel in one-bedroom apartment. The apt was great! All you need - microwave, washing machine, even heated floors in bathroom! The staff were great, made us feel welcomed, and we really enjoyed €18 breakfast and since I was with two children they were free of charge.
Very important to note that we had our room ready for an early 10 am check in, I really appreciated that!
Two supermarkets, a Turkish and spanish restaurants are two minutes walk away. So is the metro.
It is close to the Zoo and a shopping street.
However it is quite far to the centre, we took taxi everywhere. The trip to Mitte will be 10-15 ride worth ~€15.
But if you know German and are not afraid to get lost in their metro system you can take advantage of it.

"The hotel is really good in the important things (service, price, internet, breakfast and transportation)"

Rate:  4 Stars

Great medium size hotel in Moabit. I don`t know if it`s family owned – but it feels like that.
Positives:
Service (very warm and generous),
breakfast (great variety for this size of hotel),
price,
renovated practical rooms,
very close to transportation to the city and airport.
Amazing internet

Weaknesses (although not many):
Moabit itself is not very exciting, and walking to the center takes a while (~20 min to the reichstag, 35 to unter den linden).
The building is old so bad acoustics (u hear people walk in the corridor from your room), and the elevator is old and small, the rooms are a bit smelly (NOT too bad).
No coffee option in the room,
and no air condition (might be fine in april, but in the summer probably not so fun)

Bottom line:
The hotel is really good in the important things (service, internet, breakfast and transportation), and the things it lacks are not that bad:-) Totally worth the money and it`s rank.

"Just not amazing"

Rate:  3 Stars

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week in March 2014. There was just something a bit off about this hotel...I mean I would return to Berlin in a heartbeat, it is an incredible city, but I would not stay in this hotel again. The hotel is clean and very modern, I love the bathroom and the shower was really good and powerful but I thought the room was very small considering the amount of money you have to pay. The bed is hard but still comfortable. We payed for breakfast for the whole week but wish we hadn`t as although it was nice it wasn`t worth nearly 15 euro a pop. There is some lovely eating places nearby.

We also ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night out of convenience. It ended up being the most expensive and most disappointing meal during the whole week. We found Berlin to be a really reasonable city to go out for food and had amazing meals in two restaurants beside the hotel, especially a thai place a couple of streets away. Also the restaurant was empty which I thought was strange at eight on a Saturday evening.

The bar area felt really clinical and we only had a drink there once which is a shame because I normally enjoy having a drink in the hotel bar after a day of sightseeing. It just felt uncomfortable. I get the feeling that the hotel is more geared up for the business market.

The area around the hotel is great. There is a ubahn across the road and it`s a 5-10 minute walk to the Ka-De-We and a massive shopping area.

The fitness area is tiny and the swimming pool literally fits two people in if you actually want to do a few laps. Not great.

Overall an AMAZING time in Berlin but the hotel was a forgettable experience.
