"Disappointed"

Rate:  3 Stars

I picked this hotel because of all the great reviews and I liked the ideal that we could park and take the metro in the city. I reserved it on priceline.com (not a bid) and confirmed it 24 hours in advance.

When we arrived they stated that I did not have a reservation then I gave them my confirmation, they proceed to tell me that I did it only an hour ago, I explained it was done 24 hours they had nothing to say. We could tell they were scrambling and gave us a handicap room. I showed them my confirmation again and I paid for a suite with a living area and kitchen. They said this is the suite. It has a handicap bathroom with no counter space and handles everywhere...No kitchen but a full stock mini bar and small desks, no ironing board or iron.

It states it has A/C but they knobs are removed so you can not adjust it.
The balcony is connected with the people next to you so the people next to us can stand in front of our bedroom door, so the door can not be left open for air flow. In front of our balcony door there is a glass bottle with cigarettes in them that looks like it has been there for awhile.

The room is okay but I brought my children snacks and drinks....with no where to store them..On my reservation it stated the room had 2 TVs we got a very small 20 inch TV. It also stated on the Ramada website it has an indoor pool.(my kids treat for driving all day)..it is only for 18 and up and 10 euros a day at the gym next door.

Location is nice and staff is pleasant but they are not good with issues. I will not stay at a Ramada or at this location every again...I have a sour taste in my mouth from this experience.

Room tip: Make sure everyone is clear on what you are getting.

"Good but out of the way"

Rate:  4 Stars

The hotel is in a very quiet district in West Berlin. The hotel itself is great. The rooms are huge with a separate living room and a kitchen. You can only use the kitchen with prior permission but you can use the kettle and the coffee and tea provided. Breakfast was not included and at €17 was expensive given that there are a number of coffee shops and bakeries within a minutes walk and a greengrocers which sold huge fresh fruit salads for €2.
There aren`t a lot of bars nearby so you need to travel. There is an U-bahn station very close by and taxis are inexpensive. I found that the hotel was a little out of the way if you were heading out towards Mitte and/or Alexanderplatz for a night out but that was the only downside. Staff on reception were very helpful and city maps were free to take. The room was cleaned every day and the space you got in the room together with a balcony was exceptional. All in all a good hotel and a comfortable stay.

"Great hotel but not ideally situated for site seeing"

Rate:  4 Stars

The hotel is really nice, the rooms are large and our room had a balcony overlooking the gardens, all areas are in a good clean condition, and the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful.
The only negatives i could attribute to the Ramada are that there are no cookingutensils in the kitchenwhich is a bit of a surprise when you bookna suite and it is not ideally situated for siteseeing, although it is within 500 metres of an underground station that links up with the entire city and is very easy to use.
The hotel is situated in a quiet area and has severall nice restaurants, i recommend the Vietnamese , Croation and Italian restaurants which are reasonably prices and serve excellent cuisine, on the corner of shopping mall is also an excellent bakery Der Havellbaker, which sells pastries, cakes and a selection of rolls which are ideal for breakfast especially with the lovely selection of coffees and teas.

Room tip: Our room overlooked the gardens and local gym, it was very quiet and had a nice balcony on the 4th f...

"Perfect for families."

Rate:  4 Stars

Much as I love traveling in Europe, it can be a real pain the the you-know-where to find a room that can accommodate my family of five. That was not a problem here-- we were able to stay in a huge, comfortable 2 bedroom suite with an attached kitchen (we only used it to make coffee and store beer and soda, but it was nice to have the option) for a very reasonable price. All of the staff members were very friendly and spoke English. They were more than willing to help us out with directions, food suggestions, and extra hotel services (like getting more towels late at night). At first I was concerned that it was a bit too far from the main tourist attractions we`d come to see, but there was a u-bahn stop just down the street, so distance ended up being no problem (in fact I appreciated the quiet neighborhood after a long day!) The hotel is located in a complex that includes a parking garage, supermarkets, and several restaurants/cafes, which I found very convenient. The only problem with our stay was that we had a slow drain on the shower, so unless we turned the water down to a trickle, we got a flooded bathroom floor. Still, due to the value, the great staff, and the convenience of having my entire family able to sleep in one suite, I would definitely there again.

"Wonderful staff, great location"

Rate:  5 Stars

Stayed here for 6 nights and the hotel was superb. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and they all spoke very good English. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from an underground (u-bahn) station so very easy to get around - only one stop to kurfurstendam and three to the zoo where you can change to the s-bahn to get around the city centre. There is a variety of restaurants to eat at nearby as well as a bakery, supermarket, chemist etc. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but there is a cafe in the shopping centre next door which does a great breakfast for 5-9 euros. The gym was a bonus. This is not owned by the hotel but was a very large fitness centre next door which can be accesed through the hotel. Unfortunately the wifi was not available in our room but if we walked partially down the hallway we could pick up a signal. Most of the time we just made use of the wifi in the bar on the ground floor.

"Big, clean and nice rooms"

Rate:  4 Stars

This is a nice hotel with big, clean rooms. Close to the underground. The hotel is in a quiet area.
It would be nice if quest were allowed to use the stairs as it took forever to wait for the elevator.
I would definitely stay there again. They could also improve the lunch- and dinner buffet.
