"Good budget Berlin hotel - will consider staying at Motel One again"

Rate:  4 Stars

I stayed in Motel One Bellevue for two nights in September 2013 with business and I was very impressed with the hotel, considering it`s Germany`s version of a Travelodge. Clean, modern and funky design, right throughout the hotel. Love the grey and aqua decor.

Rooms are small but if you`re out for most of the day or only staying for a few nights, this is not a problem. Could get a bit claustrophobic if planning to stay for more than 3 nights. Breakfast was good, strength of the Wifi thoughout was brilliant (remember to request a code for hour`s access a day). I really liked the shower room - no bath but a big shower cubicle instead, so if you`re not of fan of getting your leg over into a bath or have slight mobility issues.

One thing missing from the room was tea and coffee making facilties. I love my tea and like to have a cuppa in the evening and first thing in the morning before heading down stairs for breakfast.

Good locations as well - there`s a few restaurants, cornershop and pharmacy within 5 minute walk from the hotel and excellent public transport links inc the tourist buses. If I return to Berlin for a leisure trip, I would consider staying in a Motel One again

"Perfect room, excellent price."

Everything you need in a hotel room. Modern, clean and spacious and best of all, cheap!

Unfortunately the location is the one thing that lets it down, but only slightly. The train station is about a 10 or so minute walk away, which isn`t really an issue, but a pain at the end of a tiring day. It is a great station though, being only one stop away from the main station and the on the same line as many major stops.

"Nice and clean rooms, good service"

Tiny, but clean non-smokers room. The hotel is well-designed with a furniture. Kind reception team. The hotel itself is located a bit far to the public transport (underground is 15 minutes by foot), but the district is fine and quiet.

"Stay at any given one of these hotels"

I stayed at this hotel in traveling through Germany, we have three nights in this hotel while we visited Berlin, the location is not exactly the brightest and without a car you can hardly see anything at all from the city, but the hotel as the hotel is expected from this chain of hotels, underground garage is comfortable and practical especially in winter.

Room tip: subway that runs next to the hotel is a bit noisy, looking for a room facing the other side of the o...

"Fairly new chain hotel - comfy and convenient - and out of the way."

Rate:  5 Stars

I do believe this hotel is just a year or so old - and other than the fact that it is next to the train line, we had an excellt experience. As for the train line - as long as our window was closed, it did not interrupt our sleep.

The room is classically European comfortable but gave us several comfortable night`s sleep. The decor is modern without being too techy. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.

The desk staff was helpful to a couple of non-German speaking tourists.

There are a couple of nearby restaurants and it is a five minute walk to the Beelevue "S Bahn" station and about a 5 Euro cab drive to the Hauptbahnhof. although it is not visible fromt the hotel it is only a few minutes walk to the northern edge of the Tiergarten.

Room tip: Try to get on a side away from the train line.
