"A really excellent hotel, staff and atmosphere..."

Rate:  5 Stars

A really excellent hotel, staff and atmosphere. Everything was good, location ideal, easy to get to from Berlin Hbf where I arrived and departed from (short S-Bahn and tram ride, or taxi ditto on way back). Room was well made up, warm, comfortable. Only little problem was the wi-fi but that was probably my fault - and the night porter helped me put that right in quickly. Can`t wait to get back. Breakfast also was great.

Room tip: I had a room at the back (an apartment actually) which, even on a Friday night, was really quiet. No...

"I`d stay here again"

Rate:  4 Stars

Pros - tram right outside door, hairdryer, a nice light on the desk, good towels, ok bed and pillow (comfort-wise), fan, alarm clock radio and very friendly and pleasant breakfast room staff (the man who helped with the laundry was very pleasant too) ---- we utilized the umbrellas too! Elevator was a plus, and breakfast was tasty. It is close to a main transit station, and there is a very good take out restaurant about 2-3 blocks away (actually with tables outside) which served a pretty good pizza (you choose the pieces) and pasta.

Cons - no guest computer, small shower with a tall lip which was a little difficult to negotiate if you`re not agile (however my 80 year old mother did manage it), neighborhood felt a little iffy (however you can feel less safe when you`re tired and hungry); t seemed like most of the streets we visited in east Berlin had an abundance of graffiti and dog feces on the sidewalk. The laundry service was pretty expensive; be prepared for small individual-colored loads which adds to the price.

Reception staff had varying levels of assistance, especially regarding restaurant suggestions. Although there seemed to be a lot of construction, we really didn`t hear it; it was just more noticeable as the sidewalk was ripped up.

"Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin"

Rate:  5 Stars

Stayed for 5 nights at this hotel with my daughters in their 20s. We throughly enjoyed our stay, the location was great, staff are helpful and friendly, rooms spotless and an excellent breakfast. We felt like we were staying in a `real` German hotel not one of those boring hotel chains that you find in every capital city.

"Great hotel"

Rate:  4 Stars

Very good location, very nice rooms. The only complaint, and it is a small one, is that their isn`t WIFI throughout the hotel. You have to leave your room and go to a designated area. I needed to stay in touch with home and found this a hassle. Other than that, the place was great and a good value.

"A nice place to stay in Berlin!"

Rate:  4 Stars

I had a very nice stay here in July 2013. I got a big, nice room as a single room. They are very friendly and attentive, giving you all the help you might need as a tourist in Berlin.
In the neighbourhood you find all kinds of shops, bars, restaurant and all you might need. With the tram stopping outside and the U-bahn very near, its very easy to get around in Berlin.
The breakfast is excellent and among the best I have experienced in Germany.
I certanly plan on paying another visit to this hotel!

"Great stay ... would recommend this to my friends"

Rate:  5 Stars

I loved this small, friendly neighborhood hotel in East Berlin. Nice big rooms, good shower and bathroom anda helpful staff and a very good breakfast. The neighborhood is trendy and edgy with lots of choice for restaurants, cafes and bars.

What was also good was that the tram was right across from the hotel so that it was easy to get to the main tourists sites from the hotel.

The only thing is that it can be a bit noisy with the tram in front of the hotel; but this did not bother me very much.

If I`m ever visiting Berlin again; this is where I`ll stay.

Room tip: You might want to choose a room away from the street.
