"Excellent value"

Rate:  4 Stars

We booked for 4 nights through Secret Escapes and got an excellent half price deal including breakfast. The apartment was functional and clean with a neat little kitchen if you wanted it. Ideal for morning tea and keeping cold beer and fresh milk. Local shop was just over the road, open till 10pm at night. Staff were very helpful, providing an extra duvet and extra pillows. Breakfast buffet was good in the newly opened breakfast area. There was other building work going on in the foyer at the time but this was well screened off.

It is located just off Kurfuerstendamm which has all the big name shops and is not far from the main tourist areas. The excellent bus service every 3-4 minutes takes you into the museum area within 20 minutes.

"Short break in Berlin"

Rate:  5 Stars

We recently spent 4 nights at this hotel in Berlin in a lovely clean studio apartment. The sound proofing was excellent and we heard no noise from the busy street outside our room. The continental breakfast was good and there was free coffee at any time.
Situated just off the classy Ku`damm we were able to walk to most local attractions but the public transport in Berlin is wonderful and cheap ( not like in Britain!)
This was our first time in Berlin and we were very impressed. There is such a laid back atmosphere and the people are friendly. It helped that we got wonderful weather too!

"The hotel (room, localization) is good but..."

Rate:  4 Stars

The hotel (room, localization) is good but... The staff seemed unprepared or just didn`t care.
When booking, I sent two emails asking if the kitchen had a stove (textual description on website didn`t mention it, although mentioning microwave, and the blueprint on the site showed what could be described as a two-burnercooktop stove). The answer I got was the copy of the website text and the blueprint.
When arriving, they mentioned that the reservation I made has been given to other guest. So they upgraded my room (free of charge). They also told me in the check-in about a "new tax in Berlin, City Tax, since 1. January" (around €40 for my 19 nights stay). I booked everything in the middle of February. Why wasn`t it mentioned before?
During the stay, the cleaning crew is supposed to come every seven days of stay by default. I arrived on a Friday they came to clean my room on a Monday. Unannounced. In fact they invaded my room the moment I was going to the door.
In the last day, reception desk called me to inquire when I`m doing the check-out that day. I inform them I booked the room for one more night. A few moments later they inform me they made a mistake (again). Arriving from a party on my last morning (5am), I find out my wifi password is already expired (I could ask for another one in the reception desk, but I was leaving on 9am so I didn`t bother to ask).
The hotel is nice: clean, easy access (close to U7 and a few bus stops), the staff is nice. But I feel the staff could be better prepared.

"Great Apart Hotel"

Stayed here in March 14. Great studio apartment, very clean, comfortable beds, good quality continental breakfast and free coffee at any time. Convenient for the beautiful shops in West Berlin and surrounded by some lovely restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

"Great hotel in an excellent location"

Rate:  4 Stars

This Aparthotel is really good. The room we had (216) was just right, good bathroom & bedroom, a small but very functional kitchen with mini dishwasher, 2hob rings, a microwave, good fridge & sink.
All the cutlery & pans you would need to eat in. Supermarket across the street. Plenty of local cafés & restaurants around without having to venture onto Ku`damm. Great access to public transport and organised City Tours plus all the fantastic shopping on the Ku`damm. Staff great, speak good English and very helpful. Breakfast was included in our package (12 Euro each) was very good. Nice bread and good cheese/ meats. Very nice coffee and good OJ.
Would highly recommend. Only missed out on 5stars as towels a bit thin and TV has only CNN in English.

Room tip: Rooms at front face the road so avoid if you do not like street noise

"Good reasonably priced hotel in great location"

Rate:  5 Stars

Having wanted to visit Berlin for a long time, my other half and I decided to have a pre-Christmas week away there (Christmas Markets!).

The hotel is about a 20 min journey from Berlin Tegel so not far at all. It is situated at the end of the Ku`damm making it a very convenient location indeed, especially for those ladies and gents that possess some subtantial spare change and wish to spend it in designer shops galore.
However, either a 5 minute walk left or a 10 minute walk right, is two U-Bahn stations, both on different lines and therefore, both giving you chance to explore different parts of the city.

The hotel itself is clean and the room was essentially a self contained apartment with kitchenette. This in itself became incredibly useful as literally over the road from the hotel, is a grocers, bakery and mini market meaning you can pick up bread, meat, butter, jam etc and have breakfast in bed - bliss! There is also a coffee machine in the lobby which is free for all guests to use.

Berlin itself is a city enriched in history and culture with plenty to keep you busy for well over a week. I thoroughly recommend to all, there is literally something to suit everyone!
