The good points -
the hotel is close to the airport.
Day staff were friendly.
Bad points -
We arrived into the hotel quite late, there was a blonde girl who clearly didn`t know what she was doing, I have a lot of time for trainee staff but she just didn`t even seem bothered. There was a guy at the desk who eventually came over to help the girl check us in which took about 15 minutes. Got to the room and It was a twin so back down to reception. Again the girl took an age to sort it out and we got another room on the same floor. It was a double bed but with two duvets... The mattress was awful and most definitely needs replacing. On the second night we asked for extra pillows and it took the same blonde girl again about 15minutes to find them. The carpet had drink and makeup stains on it right inside the door which isn`t a good impression as you walk in the door. The bathroom had hairs all over the floor and the shower. It isn`t an expensive hotel so normally I would turn a blind eye but I will definitely not be back to this hotel. I have been in cleaner hostels. Berlin is a huge city and it is about half and hour into the busy part of the city.
Room tip: Choose the other azimuth hotel in the city.

"Great Hotel in the Suburbs of Berlin"Rate:  5 Stars
I stayed here in August, 2013 for a week. The stay was pleasant, the room was clean. I requested an extra bed, in addition to the twin beds and received a very large room on the top floor with a foldout couch bed. There is some street noise, but it`s Berlin after all. Our room also had air conditioning but we choose to open the large windows for ventilation. The street noise quiets down after midnight.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I did not opt in for the breakfast, nor did I get a chance to try the Hotel`s restaurant.
There is so many great Restaurant`s in walking distance from this place, I did not get a chance to try them all.
I did have a rental car and did not use public transportation. Street parking was ample and free. The Hotel is located in the southern suburbs of the city.
The upside is a relaxed atmosphere in the neighborhood, without the hustle and buzz of downtown Berlin.
I would totally recommend this Hotel to family and friends.
Room tip: Ask for a room facing the rear of the building if your not used to Big City Noise.

"two night break"Rate:  3 Stars
A convenient hotel close to Schonfeld airport with bus and underground train links, the fare in the taxi from the airport to the hotel was approx 16 Euros.
We had a a good arrival at the hotel with the staff friendly and helpful, they advised us on how to travel around the city and where to visit.
We planned to go to the christmas markets with some site seeing. We stayed two nights, i feel we should have stayed for three, we tried to cram in to much.
The hotel room and bathroom was small, it was comfortable, clean and served our needs for a base. Our room was overlooking the back of the hotel and was quite.
The breakfast was buffet style and had a reasonable choice on offer.

"Poorest hotel in the entire Berlin!"Rate:  2 Stars
Very close to the airport and easy to get there with bus. I was there with my mother and little brother and one thing is clear and that is that the hotel needs a renovation as quickly as possible. Firstly the staff there was not welcoming at all! It was like they hated their jobs and visitors who were there. Very dirty and unsanitary hallway and lobby. The rooms were just ok. The food was not particularly good either. Not recommended for families. It it OK for 1 or 2 nights if you are with your friends or not but not a family friendly hotel at all!
It was just POOR service. That´s it!
Room tip: Ask for a room on the highest floor, that´s were it is quitest to sleep.

"Bad management"Rate:  1 Stars
The room was OK and was clean enough. You may feel the room a little bit small. Anyway, there was a terrible thing happened to me during my staying. Which was my first night at 11 pm, the phone was ringing and the guy in the reception ask me if I wanted to stay for another night and I should pay 55 euro. WTF? I`m sure I paid all the nights! That doesn`t matter that the reception forgot something, made a mistake or didn`t do their job. But if they call me around 11 pm DOES! I was staying in my room from 5 pm while they didn`t call. When I was sleeping they called me and asked so stupid question! What will they do if I said "no, I don`t have enough money to stay"? Kick us out of the hotel and let us sleeping on the street around 0 o`clock in the morning?
Trust me, they might do that!
By the way, the reception copied my booking reference triple times! Because none of them could find the previous copy, and that might be the reason why they want to wake me up and say hi to me in the night.
