"No need for all the superlatives"

Rate:  4 Stars

We surely enjoyed our 3 night stay at New Hotel very much. The cleanliness of the rooms, friendliness of the staff, interior design and central location. All super. However we do not agree with all the superlatives used in previous reviews. The breakfast system in the morning for example, first day they brought the bread & pastries to our table but nothing of that the next days. We had to ask multiple times, received wrong orders and suddenly it became a nuissance and we wished it would have been buffet style...
Then at check out, when I wanted to pay with my AMEX card, this was countered by the manager with the old Greek adagium "do you have another credit card because we have a small technical problem at the moment"...what a joke and be warned!

"A very nice stay."

Rate:  4 Stars

We had a pleasant one-night stay here. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was great with amazing service in the restaurant. The room was clean. Wifi did not work in the room, but we didn`t need it. The shower was large with two showerheads, which was neat, but, sadly, we could only get lukewarm water in both the morning and evening. Other than that, it was a very nice hotel.

Room tip: For couples, the rooms with two showerheads are neat.

"Excellent"

We stayed here recently on our honeymoon. The room, although a little small, was perfectly clean, modern and made for a great base to stay in Athens. The staff was also extremely helpful and the location of the hotel is excellent as well. A very good choice if you will be in Athens.

"Elegance and Beauty"

Rate:  5 Stars

We stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon. The concierge and the bellman were really polite and knowledgable of the area. They brought up a complimentary bottle of champagne with strawberries on our first night. Having free bottled water as a small but nice gift as well.

Athens in general needs a lot of work. This hotel though, stands out for it`s prime location and professionalism. The bed was great, the bathroom was nice and the room was spacious. We didn`t use the gym or facilities but they looked to be first class as well. I highly recommend it.

"Best Hotel during our 3 week vacation"

Rate:  5 Stars

Where can I start!!!
New Hotel was the best hotel we stayed in during our 3 week honeymoon in Europe. From the great staff attending the guest needs, at the reception, restaurant, cleaning staff and others; the great décor, the confront of the room, the gym.
The location is great, walking distance to all you must visit while in Athens.
This is the first time that we stay at a design hotel; which will now become our first option when traveling to different cities.
The management of the hotel was on top of everything, they even sent us a bottle of sparkling wine with fruits and chocolate to the room for our last night in Athens.
The Hotel restaurant is perfect, beautiful décor, great food and wine. The breakfast was out just perfect, so much variety and great quality of food, coffee etc…
We will definitely will be staying here again, besides recommending this hotel to all of our friends and family.

"Great location, great rooms, great breakfast, decent price!"

Rate:  5 Stars

The pictures in their site do not make justice to this hotel.
The hotel is very new, well decorated, trendy! The rooms are not huge but are modern and clean! Some of them have views to the back of the Acropolis. The bathrooms have double showers (first time I`ve seen it).
The location is perfect. 5 minutes walk to Plaka. 5 minutes walk to the main square. Walking distance to the Parthenon and the Parthenon Museum.
The hotel has a breakfast included that is just great! I saw another review saying they had the best croissants... I`ve travelled constantly to France and I can tell they have a great croissant, almost as good as France`s best and certainly the nest outside of France.
The price is very decent for the type of hotel! Highly recommended.

Room tip: Ask a room with view to the Acropolis... The higher the floor the better.

"Great Hotel Experience"

Rate:  5 Stars

Great new hotel in an area I know well within reach of all the familiar sites. A design hotel that actually works. Rooms and amenities very comfortable. Excellent food and wonderful service. They also have a little gem of a spa and Tina makes it really worth a stop with superb massages.

"The best croissant I`ve eaten in years"

Rate:  4 Stars

I had a very pleasant stay at the New Hotel.
This is mostly a hotel for leisure, very well located in the center, with nicely ( and humourously) designed bedrooms.
What I also retain is the utter frienliness of the staff ( really caring to help you) AND the best croissant and chocolate croissant I`ve eaten in years (I`m a gourmet French guy). Thank you to the staff.

"A hip, clean and friendly hotel"

Rate:  5 Stars

After a short trip, which was filled with good and bad experiences, to Santorini, we went to Athens, a bit exhausted. We hit the rush-hour traffic, going from the airport to the hotel so I was not in my best mood.
I have to say, the staff at the hotel is very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and most importantly the Hotel is comfortably located at the Syntagma Square, so basically everything is walking distance.
I do not remember what we paid, but it was relatively cheap. So if you go to Athens, and if you are not aiming for something extremely fancy, the New Hotel is a great pick.

"Perfect"

Rate:  5 Stars

This hotel is one of the best I ever visited, the staff are extremely friendly and helpfull, the hotel itself is a pearl. The rooms are very `cosy` but at the same time very `design` wich is a rare combination. Also location is perfect at the beginning of the Plaka and walking distance from moast attractions.
If you`re going to Athens do yourself a favour and book a room at this hotel.

"Excellent service"

Rate:  5 Stars

I haven`t stayed at this hotel but what I would like to say that if the front of house staff are representative of the whole hotel, it must be first class. I was caught in the middle of the protests while walking home from a conference one night as there was no transport operating. I turned a corner and was confronted with rock throwing extremists on one side and a squad of riot police with tear gas bombs on the other. The extremists had lit a fire from backed up garbage to block the police. I stepped into this. I was close to the New Hotel and asked them to shelter me. Not only did they open their doors to me, they gave me a drink and rang my partner back at my hotel to reassure him I was okay. Then, when things quietened a little, they provided me with an escort back to my hotel. With such fine service, this hotel deserves to be congratulated.

"Cool!"

Rate:  5 Stars

New Hotel is perfectly situated in the very center of Athens, 10 minutes walk from gate of Akropolis. I appreciated the style - a cool mixture of Nordic wood and Mediterranean warmth. Detailed interior is a pleasure for senses.

Breakfast was one of the best I`ve recently had, excellent fresh ingredients and true local flavors.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

"Brazilian favela meets Athenian 70s chic in the most exquisite way!!!"

Rate:  5 Stars

As anyone who is interested in modern design knows the Campana brothers are modern semi gods; making their first hotel ever in Athens was something that i have been waiting for long (also it took them more than 3 years to complete it). The result is breathtaking. Campanas set a workshop in Athens which under their supervision used all possible elements from the old, iconic, 60-70s hotel, and turn this into a design maverick. The art installation of the lobby and restaurant, the reclaimed chairs, the Edra (designed by Campana again) chairs, sofas and mirrors (super expensive), the evil eye charms on the walls of my room, the gold fragmented wash basin stands, the bamboo flooring create a literally NEW design vocabulary. If i had to add something i would also say that the value for money is unique, breakfast is amazing and service is cleverly informal while super attentive. My only criticism, if i had to think one, is that they could also come up with a cheaper lunch preset menu.....

Room tip: Choose a room with the evil eye charms

"Check-In: New Hotel, Athens, Greece"

Rate:  5 Stars

Part of the Yes! Hotel company, this hotel is surely young, enthusiastic and seductive. Its modernity is not as in-your-face as the other ones. It’s simplicity is its draw. it concentrates on pieces that will revamp a room or lobby without the clutter. The location is in a an interesting nook of Athens that’s not a cranny, for sure.

It has all the charm if a small hotel, with a cornered setting and a busy street right next to it. The deconstructed wood rules in this inn and the space is utilize to its utmost with out compromising the style aura of the overall feel of the concept. A must-visit in Athens.
