I have been staying at the Akrogiali since 1976...sometimes twice a year! I`ve watched George and his family turn it from a small hotel with a handful of bungalos...to a first class property! The staff is always friendly, helpful and top-notch. The rooms are lovely and always clean! (go for a sea view if you can...but the flowers in the garden area are beautiful too!) The food at breakfast and at the restaurant on the patio...and those Greek waiters...also fabulous! I would never stay anywhere else!

"A perfect holiday"

Rate:  5 Stars

Acrogiali hotel made my short vacation in Mykonos perfect. Not only was it right on the doorstep one of the best beaches in Mykonos, the efficient and great hotel staff and restaurant made my companions and I highly reluctant to leave. We received top-notch service while we were there, with transfer service to-and-from the airport, arrangement for rental of cars and ATVs as well as an excellent breakfast and with towels and sunbeds provided for our enjoyment on the beach.

Food in the hotel`s restaurant was also amazing and is reportedly cooked by the winner of Greek Masterchef.

Overall, an amazing experience and I would not hesistant to return. Great job!

"Excellent value for money"

Rate:  5 Stars

Fantastic hotel. You MUST stay there! Free pick up from airport and drop off, super friendly staff and amazing views from our sea view room, which is a must. Spend that extra money well worth it. Huge sea view rooms. Very clean rooms with air conditioners. Restaurant down stairs have huge meals. Breakfast was of good level. The beach is right at your door and I would say the one of the best beaches in Mykonos. The water was calm and no strong winds. Bus to the main town is only a few steps away. Great place for those that don`t want to party.

Room tip: A sea view room is a must.

Rate:  5 Stars

we stayed at this hotel as 2nd part of our trip to mykonos we had a five day stay and booked a sea view room it was worth the extra money and I would book this room again. We were bed and breakfast but when we arrived there was a menu in the room giving info that you could upgrade to half board for 17euros pp a night. you can pay this daily you do not have to eat there every night if you chose so we decided to give it a go. sooooo glad we did for 17e you had a 4course meal and the portions I kid you not they were huge!!!!!the menu gave us a choice of 6starters, 4 salads, 24 main meals and numerus sweets. the food was the best that we had on the island and the staff at the atlantida restuarant which belongs to the hotel are lovely people. we had a lovely holiday.

Room tip: go for a sea view!! you are above the restuarant but there is no noise.,and what a view!!!

"Voll zufriedenstellendes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal"

Rate:  5 Stars

Siamo stati viziati e coccolati a dismisura.

Ci ritornerei subito!!!!!!!!!

"Nice beach, nice hotel ... Ahhh it was a nice break!"

Rate:  4 Stars

We were very happy with our stay here. The hotel is located right on the beach. The room was very nice with a very good air conditioner. Service was ALWAYS pleasant and useful. The washroom and shower were good. Very good beach. We were there in June, which isn`t high season yet, and we always were able to find an umbrella and chairs, usually in the front row. However, I think this might be more of a problem during high season.

Here`s some additional information I hope you find helpful. In the lobby is an ice making machine. If you don`t have a cooler use a day bag of some sort. Put ice in the cooler and buy some drinks to put in it and take it to the beach. You`ll save a bit of money. In return I would suggest you eat at the Atlantida restaurant at least once per day - it`s a great restaurant.

One day you should take a walk to the other end of the beach and then climb the path to the top of the cliff. Once you get over the cliff and down the other side there is a nice, small and secluded beach. No umbrellas or chairs, but the best snorkelling in the area! The shore is sand but the water is 90% rock bottom. That`s what helps make it more interesting for snorkelling. It also makes the water warmer because the rocks are very dark and absorb the sun and give off heat to the water.

If you want to get to Paraga beach continue on this trail until you get to the beach at Agia Anna Studios. Immediately beyond the buildings on this beach get off the beach and take the road that goes inland and south, not the road that follows the beach to the right, nor should you take this road to the left - straight and inland. It`s a short walk on this road and you`ll get to the far end of Paraga beach (it`s on the left of the road).

If you want to walk to Paradise beach go to Paraga beach as described above then go almost to the other end of the beach and take the driveway back to a public road. Go right on the road and keep walking until you get to San Giorgio. There`s an old gate next to the property that seems to lead no where. To the left of the gate is an opening for walkers. Walk through there and take the path, which will lead you to Paradise beach. The path meanders a bit but don`t worry, all roads lead to Paradise beach (in this case).

If you need to take the bus into town leave your room and walk to the beach. Turn right at the beach and keep walking until you come to a road that ends at the beach. Turn right on that road and keep walking until there is an intersection in the road allowing you to continue straight or turn left. Keep going straight for about five meters and the bus stop is on your right. There are places that sell bus tickets but you can buy your tickets on the bus any time and you do not need exact change, they`ll make change for you.

I really hope this is useful information for you and that you have a great vacation!

"maravillosa estadia!!!"

Rate:  5 Stars

Rate:  5 Stars

I can`t say enough good things about Hotel Acrogiali. The room my sister and I stayed in was very clean, comfortable and easy on the budget. The staff was as nice as can be, the breakfast was good, the on-site restaurant was delicious, and the beach and swimming right outside our door was out of this world. There was a very convenient bus that takes you into town for little cost. There is also a water taxi to nearby beaches if you want to mix it up. Stay here when you travel to Mykonos!

"Best hotel view on our Greek Trip"

Rate:  5 Stars

They had an excellent buffett breakfast with lots of selection. We were given a sea view room overlooking a lovely little bay ... to die for! I would definitely pay an upgrade price to get one of these rooms. The restaurant below the Atlantidia (?) had excellent service and a great view as well. Many people told us that it was the best rest. on Mykonos - after eating in town one night we would agree. Hotel has a mini market next door for all your needs and there is a bus available from the hotel for $1.50 Euro and a 10 minutes ride to town. They are right on a nice beach and from there you can hike for quite a way to Paradise Beach and take in the sites. We only stayed for 2 nights but would have liked to stay for a week.

Rate:  4 Stars

This is a very pleasant, family runhotel. Its right on the beach at Platys Yialos and so if you are looking for something affordable and extremely comfortable...this is the place. The rooms are very quaint and delightful. Each is air conditioned and has its own veranda or deck...nice to sit and enjoy a bottle of wine and wave to other hotel guests as they go by.The breakfast is very satisfactory and the restaurant is on of the best on the beach. Its ideal location makes it very convenient to taking the boats to the popular beaches like, Paradise, Super Paradise etc, as the boats are only steps away!
